Martha Jefferson Master Plan
The health of the Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital campus has a direct impact on improving healing times and experiences for patients and their families and on staff recruitment and satisfaction. The Master Plan identifies opportunities within this communal healing landscape to update planting, develop much-needed outdoor spaces for staff, and expand the circulation network in response to adjacent development.
The Master Plan creates a streamlined management strategy for the museum landscape, including planting recommendations and comprehensive schedules of yearly maintenance tasks to ensure consistent care. An accompanying maintenance guide clarifies best practices and maintenance intent through easy-to-understand graphics.
