St. John’s College is a private, liberal arts college that dates back to the 18th century, located on 27 acres in downtown Annapolis. Developing upon the 2009 Campus Master Plan, Paul Josey, while working at NBW, managed the landscape design, renovation and construction of various new and existing campus courtyards and gardens.

These projects included a new entry garden and memorial courtyard associated with the new Hodson House admissions building, a new courtyard outside Humphreys Hall and renovation of the campus Quad at the heart of the campus. Innovative soil building strategies and tree protection details were created to preserve the mature existing trees on all of these sites.
