A city residence transformed into a Piedmont inspired foodscape

An edible landscape was the genesis for the design of this small city lot. A palette of vegetables, berries and fruit trees along with native shrubs, meadow grasses and forbs define a series of outdoor working and gathering places. Cor-ten steel planting beds, rain collection barrels, and contemporary wood fencing are custom details unique to the project. A chicken house integrated into the design is a focal point for the working garden.
