Internships
2026 Summer Intern — Communications and Design:
Wolf Josey Landscape Architects is now accepting applications for Summer 2026 interns. We believe great design comes from great collaboration. Interns play an active role in our studio as researchers, designers, and critical thinkers. Within our holistic and hands-on studio culture, interns will engage in work across all stages of the design process and receive mentorship across a wide range of tasks.
We are seeking a designer with a knack for communication who is interested in shaping thoughtful conversations around urban, garden, and campus landscapes. This is a communications-forward internship; we anticipate interns spending over 50% of their time on communications work. You should expect to take ownership over organizing and producing cohesive, compelling graphics and written narratives. Strong graphic design, writing, and project management skills are essential.
Communications Work
Interns will lead projects to develop key communications and marketing materials. Tasks may include:
Collaborating with principals and designers on project development
Contributing to the design of project-specific interpretation and signage
Producing award submission packages, including new and updated graphics and text
Creating social media posts and new website content
Design Work
Interns will contribute to residential, institutional, and public projects. The office will have a number of local projects under construction this summer. This will be a unique opportunity to spend time on active construction sites, learning the ins and outs of construction administration. Tasks may include:
Design research and concept development
Design studies and materials research
Graphic production for client presentations
Redlines on construction drawings
3D modeling and visualization
Essential Qualifications:
Pursuit of landscape architecture (or architecture) degree is encouraged but not required
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino, and MS Office
Strong graphic, written communication, and project management skills
Technical proficiency, attention to detail, and problem solving ability
Time Commitment:
In person, approximately 10 weeks between May and August (we are flexible to alternative arrangements for the right candidate)
40 hours per week
Monday-Friday between 9 am - 5:30 pm
What We Offer:
You will participate in weekly, office-wide plant walks or tech sessions
Thoughtful portfolio review and feedback

A collaborative, small-studio environment with close interaction across the entire team
