This high density, mixed use urban development is located on six acres primarily over structure. While the project includes a central plaza, internal market street, raingarden along Rockville Pike and tree lined streets, it also includes two intensive residential green roof courtyards with swimming pools, gardens and a play lawn and two intensive green roofs for stormwater treatment. In collaboration with Nelson Byrd Woltz, specific responsibilities of Paul Josey included the detailing of all project paving, multiple over structure soil profiles and innovative suspended slab details to encourage healthy tree growth.
